Take a walk to discover the contrast between the modern and historic parts of the city of Bogotá. Stroll through the aisles of the Paloquemao market, full of vendors selling fresh produce from the rural region, taste a delicious fruit juice that will catch your attention and be impressed by the colours of the outdoor flower market. Stroll through the mythical La Candelaria district with its colourful colonial houses in the old centre of the city, in the main square or Plaza de Bolívar. Here you will find the government district, the Cathedral of the Primate of Colombia, the Palace of Justice, the parliament and the mayor’s office, an important place for historical events. Visit the famous museum of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, where you will find an exceptional collection of contemporary art with artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso and others, from his sculptures in different materials to the paintings that have made him a recognised artist. Walk through the halls of the Gold Museum to see a unique collection of pre-Columbian gold jewellery made by the indigenous communities that inhabited Colombia. Weather permitting, you can take a short cable car ride up the hill of Monserrate. From up there, you will be surprised by the impressive size of the city with its more than eight million inhabitants.

Amidst a magical backdrop, visit the birthplace and production site of San Alberto, Colombia’s most award-winning coffee. Immerse yourself in the delicious world of top-quality coffee. You start with a tour of the hacienda’s plantations and see, for example, the various machines used to separate the fruit from the beans. Of course, an insight into the quality laboratory of this unique coffee is also a must, as is a very special tasting session.

If the weather is favourable, start the day with the unique experience of seeing the coffee zone from a different perspective – a bird’s eye view. With the hot air balloon you fly to higher regions and have a breathtaking view over one of the most beautiful landscapes. Above all, you will be there when the balloon is inflated at the start of the excursion. The entire excursion takes around 3 hours, including transport, inflation, balloon flight and return to your hotel.

Start your journey to two iconic places of coffee culture, the Cocora Valley and Salento. Experience a peaceful day with a gentle walk in the middle of the mountainous valley in the Colombian Andes and admire the majestic wax palm, Colombia’s emblematic tree. Stroll through the colourful coffee architecture and discover Calle Real in one of Colombia’s most picturesque villages, Salento. Savour the gastronomy and the smoothest coffee in the world in Alto de las Cruces, where you can enjoy the view of this place.

Today, everything revolves around the finca culture of the Colombians. For city dwellers, finca means nature, peace and quiet. After a leisurely breakfast, you can explore the area around the finca. On a guided tour of Hacienda Bambusa, you will learn more about the farm, cocoa cultivation and the trade and export of cocoa beans. Hacienda Bambusa covers several hundred hectares of cocoa plants, banana trees and pineapple plantations. On a tour of the farm and through the cocoa plantation, you will see many different cocoa trees with red, yellow or brown fruits up to 25 cm long and learn more about the cultivation and processing of cocoa. Afterwards, you can take a dip in the pool or relax in the hammock.

The Spanish brought many things and customs to America and changed the continent, and the Americans have taken it upon themselves to change many of them and create their own identity and product. During the rum tasting, you will learn more about its history, the different production methods and its origins. You will taste different types of rum in different combinations and discover their aromas and flavours.

Get to know the picturesque streets of Cartagena, its historic republican and colonial architecture such as the Plaza de la Aduana, where the slave market, the Plaza de Bolívar and the Gold Museum used to be, admire the Palace of the Inquisition and appreciate the architecture of the Heredia Theatre. In the old town, you will come across the monastery and church of San Pedro Claver, whose construction dates back to the mid-17th century, and stroll through Las Bóvedas square, where a colourful artisan market is held. Visit San Felipe Castle, one of the city’s most important fortresses, which was built on the hill by the Spanish. During the tour, you will have a spectacular view of the city and its coasts. Climb to the highest point of the city to visit the old monastery of La Popa and enjoy the panoramic view of the city.

You will then stroll through the colourful, festive, authentic and culinary aisles of the market to buy your own ingredients and learn about the city’s gastronomic and cultural tradition.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant culinary scene of Cartagena with an authentic cooking workshop in the charming neighborhood of Getsemaní. This historic district, once a hub for artists and bohemians, now offers a picturesque backdrop for your culinary adventure.

At a stunning venue boasting panoramic views, you’ll embark on a gastronomic journey through Colombia’s diverse flavors. Led by expert chefs fluent in both English and Spanish, you’ll learn to prepare an array of local dishes that capture the essence of Colombian cuisine. From refreshing ceviches and hearty soups to the aromatic coconut rice and the intricate “posta cartagenera” with its sugarcane sauce, each day brings a new menu to tantalize your taste buds.
