Georg Rubin | Founder & Director

Travelling has always been one of my passions and it led to the founding of KonTour Travel. I grew up in Colombia raised by Swiss/German parents and thus combine a Colombian heart with Swiss heritage to ensure we offer unique Colombian experiences that run like clockwork. Understanding European’s expectations and knowing what can be really be done in Colombia allows me to design a product portfolio tailored to the discerning traveller. This approach is key to our success: know whom to sell, know what you sell and sell what you know. And since I still love to travel and explore I’m always on the lookout for new experiences. I am Claudia Canchón, Travel Consultant at KonTour Travel, dedicated to creating unforgettable travel experiences across Colombia. My passion lies in sharing the country’s rich diversity—its history, culture, music, gastronomy, and landscapes—with visitors from around the world.

One of my favorite destinations is Cartagena de Indias, a vibrant Caribbean city where colonial heritage, colorful streets, and lively culture come together to create a truly unique atmosphere. From its historic center and Getsemaní’s artistic spirit to nearby islands like Rosario and Barú, Cartagena offers the perfect blend of relaxation, history, and inspiration.Through my work in tourism, I have discovered how Colombia captivates with its contrasts—from iconic colonial towns like Villa de Leyva and Barichara to the Amazon’s natural and cultural richness. I am passionate about designing meaningful journeys that exceed expectations and connect travelers with the heart of my country.

Lisa Ahmann - Tourism Director

I am originally from Germany and have been living in Colombia for more than ten years. During my studies abroad, I fell in love with this fascinating country and traveled extensively through South America. Today, Colombia is my home – together with my Colombian husband and our two children, we live our own personal adventure in a small village.

I love exploring the country overland; each time, the green mountains and vibrant contrasts captivate me all over again. Every region is unique and different. And there is so much to discover!

I would like to share this enthusiasm with you. Thanks to my personal experiences and my deep connection to Colombia, I support you in planning a trip that not only shows you the most beautiful places but also brings you closer to the authentic Colombia.

Katerinne Maldonado | Administrative Director

I am a proud Colombian, from what is often described in the Llanos as “that green magic where the blue of the sky melts into the earth.” It is an honor to introduce Colombia, a country of joy, flowers, and coffee.

From deserts with towering dunes to untouched jungles filled with still-unexplored wildlife, from its deep blue seas to snow-capped peaks, from cool mountain ranges to warm canyons, Colombia offers a remarkable diversity of landscapes that invites you to discover and enjoy every corner. As a visitor, you will be captivated by its natural beauty and vibrant spirit.

I am a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the University Francisco de Paula Santander. I later moved to Bogotá in search of professional opportunities, where I found in the tourism industry a meaningful way to connect with people, discover new perspectives, and deepen my appreciation for my country while sharing it with others.

Nubia Gamboa | Accounting & Administrative Assitant

My passion is traveling, and I have had the opportunity to live many enriching experiences—such as climbing a snow-capped mountain, exploring the wonders of Colombia’s Pacific coast with its stunning coves and waterfalls cascading through lush landscapes, discovering the Caribbean coast and its beautiful beaches, and admiring the breathtaking scenery of Boyacá.

I also have the privilege of enjoying the rich and diverse cuisine of my home region, Bogotá, every day. I am deeply in love with my country and continually rediscover my affection for Bogotá.

For this reason, I truly value the work of KonTour Travel, as it highlights the diversity and beauty of Colombia’s many unique destinations and helps share them with the world.

Andrea Timcke | Product Coordinator

I was born and raised in Colombia to a German mother and father. After finishing my studies in international business in Germany I decided to return to Colombia, the land that I consider my true home and that I have always carried in my heart. Throughout my professional career I have been dedicated to the airline industry and tourism, which has given me the opportunity to travel around the world and immerse myself in different cultures, living unforgettable experiences. Today I feel fortunate to be able to promote the wonders of my country and share the beauty and magic that is Colombia, its immense natural wealth, the exquisite cuisine and the kindness and joy of its people.

Ingrid Dobler | Sales & Marketing Advisor

Born and raised in Colombia I had the chance to live its beauty from childhood on. Thanks to extensive journeys I learned much about the country and could marvel at its incredible variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. The joyful and hearty Colombians do the rest to confirm my fondness for this country.

With my bicultural roots and a degree in sociology and intercultural communication I am fond of bringing together people from diffrent cultures and thereby hopefully share the passion for this wonderful and exotic country.

During this time, living in Colombia has continually inspired me, as I remain fascinated by the country’s extraordinary diversity in landscapes, climates, traditions, and people. I am deeply passionate about sharing its essence through our travel experiences.

My academic background in tourism and human geography has provided me with valuable insights into travel dynamics and the cultural and historical contexts of the destinations we offer. I firmly believe that exploring new places and engaging with different realities fosters intercultural understanding and encourages greater respect for the preservation of our planet.

Although Colombia offers an incredible range of destinations, my personal favorite are the páramos—unique high-altitude ecosystems in the Andes. Their cool climate, striking scenery, and distinctive flora and fauna create an experience that is truly unmatched.

I have been part of KonTour Travel for four years, during which I have learned extensively about the different destinations across Colombia, as well as had the opportunity to visit several of them personally.

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, to European parents. I had the privilege of living abroad for several years, where I worked in gastronomy and hospitality. I chose to return to my home country to reconnect with it more deeply. This decision led me to join the KonTour Travel team, where I design journeys across Colombia and continue discovering the richness of its landscapes, people, and destinations.

I believe tourism is one of the most meaningful ways to experience this country, and that Colombia is a place meant to be discovered and revisited time and time again. I hope you will have the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate it as well.
