Day 1

Transfer from the hotel to Bogotá airport. Flight from Bogotá to Pereira. On the way to Hacienda Venecia, you can admire the beautiful coffee culture landscape of the region, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the hacienda, you start the coffee tour at the Hacienda Venecia guest house. There you will talk about coffee, its preparation, roasting, quality features and the characteristics that make up the diversity of coffee varieties in the world. The tour continues with the expert through the farm’s coffee plantations, where you will learn to appreciate the work of the coffee picker. You will get to know the famous wet mill that characterizes Colombian coffee. Finally, you will visit the main house of the hacienda, where you will learn about the typical architecture and history of this wonderful place.

Day 2

You begin your journey to two iconic places of coffee culture, the Cocora Valley and the village of Salento. Experience a peaceful day with a gentle stroll, amidst the mountainous valley in the Colombian Andes and admire the majestic wax palm, the emblematic tree of Colombia. Wander through the colorful coffee architecture, discover the Calle Real in one of Colombia’s most picturesque villages, Salento. Enjoy its gastronomy and the finest coffee in the world at Alto de las Cruces, where you can enjoy the view of this place and end the day.

Day 3

Visit Finca Romelia near Manizales to see its wonderful collection of orchids. Take a walk through the grounds of the finca, enjoying the endemic forests of this beautiful area of the coffee region. You will then be given a guided tour of the orchid nursery and farm, where the cultivation process and the farm’s contribution to nature conservation projects will be explained. Finally, you will have the opportunity to sample some of the products grown on the farm over a delicious, typical lunch. Afterwards, you can relax in the hot springs of Santa Rosa de Cabal. In an idyllic setting overlooking a majestic waterfall, you can relax in the natural hot water pools. Be careful when you go into the hot springs! The water could be hot!
